Motorcycle comparison tool

MOTOR-SCOPE

It works out what owning a motorcycle really costs (insurance, fuel, maintenance and financing) and compares two models head to head over 1, 3 or 5 years. It has a garage, a community of riders and videos to research each model.

The challenge

A motorcycle's price is only the beginning: insurance, fuel, maintenance and financing can weigh as much as the purchase itself, and they're almost never compared. People torn between two models usually decide by looking at the price tag alone.

The solution

MOTOR-SCOPE works out all those costs and puts two models head to head over 1, 3 or 5 years, year by year. The design challenge was making so many figures effortless to read: clear hierarchy, side-by-side comparisons and costs grouped by category. It also has a garage, a community of riders, videos to research each model and an internal analytics dashboard. It's built with React, TypeScript, Tailwind, Firebase and Supabase.

The result

The database covers more than 1,400 models and the site works in Spanish and English. People comparing no longer see just a price, but what the motorcycle will cost them over five years, so they can decide with data instead of gut feeling.
